Top Games for 3DS in 2013?

We hope you all had a great Christmas, and got all the games you wished for! ;)

Anyway, as 2013 draws to a close, we're wondering what are your top 5 3DS game releases of the year??

It has been a brilliant year for games, but these are Jen's top 5:

1. Animal Crossing New Leaf: No matter what other games I play, I always come back to this one! Experiencing all the seasons as the year progresses is fun, with so much to collect and customise, great music, and of course some weird and wacky animals to chat to along the way!

2. Luigi's Mansion 2: I love this for the multiplayer function, and all the rare ghosts you can collect. I loved the storyline too, and it was nice to see such a good game for the Year of Luigi!

3. Pokemon X & Y: Loved this one, but couldn't keep up with the rest of you lot and your Pokédexes! Settled for completing the storyline and hope to complete the Pokédex one day... I love how you can train the Pokémon, although wonder trades were annoying at times! Battles with others are so much fun though! :)

4. The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds: Haven't gotten too far into this yet, but am loving the artistry to it, and the StreetPass function. It harks back to older versions whilst still feeling new. Perfect balance!

5. Lego City Undercover: The Chase Begins: Never pass up the chance to play a Lego game. Always great fun with the story, jokes and functionality. Another good one for StreetPassing too!

What are your top 5 for 2013? Please comment below! :D

  1. 1. The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds

    2. Fire Emblem: Awakening

    3. Ace Attorney: Dual Destinies

    4. Pokemon X and Y

    5. Etrian Odyssey IV

  2. It has definitely been a splendid year for gaming, many titles had caught my eye, but only the following made it to the top five! There are two special last minute entries into this year, both worthy of high praise,...(See bottom of post).

But Now, With the Top Five!:

#5 The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time: Ah, Zelda, especially you OOT. Who could resist picking up a copy of this, if not just to see the world you lived, once again in 3D. I have opened a file and linger in the starting area, often laying alongside my 3DS listening to the sounds of Kokiri forest. Zelda <3

#4 Fire Emblem: Awakening: This one caught me by surprise! I had never been a fan of the series before this entry, and a friend recommended it to me one evening. It brings light into the Fire Emblem series and I have been enjoying it ever since...

#3 Animal Crossing: New Leaf: The best thing for me is aligning the right furniture, and when I'm done with that, it's to the night club for me to listen to the sounds of K.K. Although I think he had a lot more going for him back on the guitar.

#2. Monster Hunter 3: Me and a friend picked this up earlier this year. We have had so many memorable moments fighting alongside each other against monsters four times our size! A well made, beautiful game, worthy of many a praise.

    #1. Resident Evil Revelations:
The developers have remained true to the franchise, and returned to the good ol' timing and thought heavy action that drew me in originally. It boasts a new story line and a creepier than creepy atmosphere which is heavily lent to the awesome music, I am so glad a friend recommended this to me.

    Special last minute entries:
These last minute entries into the year 2013, have to be considered for the top five list in 2014, as they were not played this year...and those are!:

    Bravely Default: Flying Fairy
The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds

  3. Even though I'm quite behind in collecting up 3DS games, I'd say my favourites would be:

    1. Animal Crossing: New Leaf: Just such a chill game! What a fantastic step up from Wild World!
    2. Pokemon X & Y: I played Y, great addition to the Pokemon series!
    3. Mario Kart 7: I've only played this through Download Play, but it was still fab! Hopefully getting my own copy of this soon!
    4. The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time: A classic, really!
    5. ...I haven't played a 5 different games!
